In light of what happened in Oklahoma recently, I felt it necessary to post information on tornado safety and what to do should you encounter a tornado.
I went to the American Red Cross website and looked up the information they had on tornado safety and what to do. Below you will find a direct link:

I will summarize below:
*If you have a basement, move to the basement should severe weather occur.
*If you don't have a basement, move to an interior room that doesn't have any windows.
*If you are in your vehicle, try to get to the closest sturdy building if possible. If there is no way of traveling to a safe place, buckle your seat belt and tuck your head below the windows and cover your head and hands if possible. If you are able to get into a ditch or some place lower than the roadway, go lie in that area and cover your head.
